Winter
The Kranjska Gora ski area is three hundred metres from the house, and your skis stay in the ski storage. Cross-country trails along the valley, sledging, and the World Cup races in Podkoren and ski jumping in Planica.

The house sits at the edge of the village, between the Pišnica river and the spruce forest. Far enough from the bars to be quiet, close enough to walk to breakfast.

Getting here
By car
From Ljubljana take the motorway towards Jesenice, exit Hrušica, then the main road to Kranjska Gora (about 85 km, a little over an hour). From Austria over the Wurzen pass or through the Karawanks tunnel, from Italy via Tarvisio and Rateče.
Parking
Free, in front of the house. No need to reserve.
By plane
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport is 64 km away (about 50 min by car), Klagenfurt Airport 62 km (about 55 min).
By bus
The bus station is 900 m from the house. In summer buses also run over the Vršič pass and to the Peričnik waterfall.

Summer
A walk along the Pišnica to Lake Jasna, a drive over the Vršič pass to the Soča valley, hikes into Triglav National Park, and the cycle path on the old railway line from Rateče towards Jesenice.
Day trips
Zelenci and the source of the Sava, the Peričnik waterfall, Bled, and across the border Tarvisio in Italy and Villach in Austria. As a guest from Poland put it: “We visited not only Slovenia but also Austria, Italy and Croatia.”
